The flea market is an amazing source of antique that can be salvaged and transformed into original steampunk decoration . Today i decided to get myself a few items from the St-Eustache Flea Market . I looked for Victorian style antique that are actually from around the late 60's to 70's . I also wanted items made from solid brass with filigree patterns . I came back with a lamp , a candle holder , a pitcher and an old phone . After a good clean up i plan to modify some of these items . On the phone i would like to replace the plastic by wood and for the lamp i would like a to make an altered art mix media style steampunk shade .

Wow. That is a damned nice haul.
It reminds me how much I used to love flea markets. I haven't bothered looking for any as I have been moving. 'Time to remedy that.
I can't wait to see what you make of them ^_^

I've got to go to a flea market. Everybody finds such cool stuff at outrageously good prices!

Gorgeous! I love the phone!!
The flea markets in Toronto just seem to have pirated dvds, over-sized t-shirts and crappy gold jewelry.
