It is a lot of fun to imagine Alice in wonderland in a Post Apocalyptic steampunk world . When I saw that My steampunk team on ETSY was doing a contest , I decided i would make a sculpture of the wise blue caterpillar .

The challenge with this sculpture is that i had no blue print unlike more common animals , so i improvised and followed my imagination .

The sculpture is 11cm tall , 22cm long and 8cm wide .
Caterpillar: [suddenly angry] I am "exaketededly" three inches high, and it is a very good height indeed!

The sculpture is made of brass and gunmetal copper wire that i twist , coil and bend by hand . In the body i used old pocket watch movement . The claws are made with jewelry findings ; lobster claws . For the head i used 5 golden reptile taxidermy glass eyes .

Also known as the Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar

The smoking pipe main body is made of a brass incense burner that i modified with some small brass Rotating Airplane Propeller .
